Series Overview:

Ok, so I read this series at the same time as two other books that were a little heavy on the mind (The Picture of Dorian Grey by O.W. and The Stranger Beside Me by A.R.) So my ratings may have been generous, and I’m not really sure why I rated them the way I did because I failed to write an actual review, like, at all.  So here we are with a series overview of six books that I will try my best to recall. Here goes:

The Lunar Chronicles put a spin on classic fairy tale bedtime stories and blend them with more adventure, action, and exposition.  Everything a young heart wants while growing up hearing these stories (and you won’t be as disappointed with the outcome as you were when you found out Sleeping Beauty had an ogre as a mother-in-law).

Well, you won’t be disappointed with the four main novels, at least.  They are original in as much of a way as they can be and easy enough to read despite their length.  The characters are lovable, relatable, and well-written.  The combination of all your favorite bedtime characters makes for an interesting adventure you might never forget, unless you’re me.  Basically, if you’re craving a fast, easy read then please pick this series up (and avoid Fairest and Stars Above no matter how much more your mind and body want of this universe).

Fairest was a brilliant concept that was poorly executed.  The main character is spoiled and abusive.  She has so many chances for redemption that she squanders by further abusing and spoiling.

Stars Above is the equivalent of Timmy Turner Image result for timmy turnersinging you to sleep every night in a wannabe sexy-breathy voice. The End.
